Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
Thanks all. Interior completed.
I mixed up a custom batch of for this one, Electric blue & Aluminium 5:4.
These instructions have got my head battered. As you can see in the pics, I have the gear shifter on backwards, I was following the plans at that moment, all reference pics I have have it the other way around. I'll fix that issue soon.

Dave.... the engine/engine compartment looks terrific and the interior is well up your superb standards.
Looks like the Fujimi got the size of the gear knob wrong too. It looks oversized to me.

Where does it need the extra carpet?

Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
So now this finished beautiful chassis and interior fit up into the shell.
I'm sure it's all test fitted many times, but how much trimming/sanding did you actually need to do on a tricky Enthusiast kit?

I think it could do with a couple of mats.

It took weeks of preparing the body and a lot of the fit can only now be tested as I've reached this stage and right off the bat the front trunk lid doesnt fit right because the hinges join to the chassis. The doors are a suprisingly good fit, for now, the back bumper is a PITA. This is going to take some time.

Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
So you even opened up the pop up headlights, very nicely done and very difficult with such a thin panel joint, does the kit have optional headlight popped up?
Did you use the back of an old blade and go slowly? Must have taken ages Dave.

Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
Hyper sharp blade. No point in messing about and if a mistake is made then so be it.
Headlights are provided. I compared the cut out with the light and made the fit perfect but, ah Fujimi, now that the front of the lenses are on it ptrotrudes a fraction of a mm and you guessed it, it doesn't fit now. And the door mechanism, let's just say the provided parts are an impossibility to work so i'll be working on a solution to that.

Really great stuff David, sucks about the fit issues. I'm sure you'll sort it out. Good luck with working out the rest. I'm looking forward to seeing this turn out.

Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
Door hinges set after quite a bit of surgery.
Door bars in after performing more major surgery.
Back lights nearly finished.
Wheels on and some lower bodywork installed.
Installed the door glass, six seperate parts.
I must say these doors have tested my patience on this build. If I followed the instructions then the doors would be impossible to operate as a bit of internal surgery to them was required. I looked online to see how other people managed this and they have either missed pieces out or simply not talked about it. No matter, I have solved it in my own way.
The provided screws for the wheels were too long and needed a cut.
Getting there.

One of your best builds David considering the troubles. Great bit of modifying too, I really like the doors. The interior is stylish.

A gorgeous car. It's a shame they didn't include a clear section on the bonnet to display that beautiful powerplant.
