Lamborghini Countach 5000 (Italeri)
Hello, the next build is underway.
The bodywork was assembled in 13 seperate bits including wheel arches. It took about a week to get it filed, filled, sanded and ready for prime.
I managed to get the gloss black down nice and flat.
All the engine parts have been prepared.
Much to my dismay, this car had a single distriburor for it's twelve cylinder engine, some have two sixes but not this one. I had to drill thirteen holes in a 2.5mm cap.
That was a really fiddly job but it turned out great.
Thanks for looking.

Amazing job on the distributor! The kit looks similar to U.S. ones by Monogram(?) or (AMT?). I'll be following this one closely.

All the makings of another quality build here. That's a great gloss on the black too.

Black is a difficult colour to work with D, but this one is spot on!!
Engine is looking good too.

Great paint job! The body prep really paid off and you made a daunting task look top notch with the distributor.

Ah, the Countach, my first 'love' when it came to youthful fantasy vehicles. Excellent work on the engine and the body looks fantastic!

Underside view is spectacular with weathering, finned oil/trans pans and beautiful brakes. Thank you!

Many thanks for the positives everyone. I'm just topping off the engine details now and then going to have a bit of a reference hunt to see about which interior colours will work well.

Nice interior colors. Usually done in neutral leather colors as accents, yours adds zest.
