Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
Thanks all. The main block assembled (much filing required for a good fit) and based with Eisen.
Some misc parts painted with straight silver.
The block has been washed with watered down black ink to bring out some detail and shading.
The misc parts washed with a much more watered down black ink.
I'll get to work on detailing the valve covers next.

Beautiful work with the washes.
Do you dilute with just water, or is there some alcohol added? I've tried that in the past and the wash tends to bead up and doesn't flow very smoothly.

Do you have the full EM kit or the cut down later release which doesn't even have an engine?

I simply use water. The inks I use ar either Citadel or Valejo game ink. I can certainly recommend them to anyone.

Lovely work on the washes Dave and the detailing of the valve covers is outstanding.
Nismo..... I first discovered Promatic Clear a few years ago and I now use it instead of my previous favourite of automotive 2k clear.
It's made in the UK by the Capella solutions group. sales@capellasolutionsgroup.com
Drop them an email and ask about supply in your area.

Re: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
I got the UK phone number from Al ages ago, rang them up, they gave me the Dublin branch number.
The slightly bemused Sales Manager (after I told him it was for model cars..) told me to call in and gave me a free 500 ml can.

The engine looks beautiful. The wash and detail picking is fabulous, I also really like the stats board on the display stand.

Wow!
I really dig the engine stand and spec plaque. I am going to assume you made both? Great stuff David.

Outstanding! Will the engine remain outside the vehicle in the end?
