MPC "Deserter" Pickup
MPC, a reissue I assume. Old kit, the underside parts are pretty crude, ditto most of the accessories.
Perfect painting weather today, so the Chevette, the Olds Aurora, the Suburban roof and this all got their moment in the sun and under the rattle can.
The red is straight from the can, about 2 hrs old. Very happy so far. Interior is Tamiya Deck Tan.
I've added the indicator stalk, column shifter, and pedals as well as the ign key bump on the column. Under the bonnet, parts bin raided for the extractors (headers), ditto for the 4 bbl carb & air cleaner. Plumbing and wiring to come. Pics of the engine later on.

Re: MPC "Deserter" Pickup
You are correct webby, it is a repop. One of the versions was the Fall Guy truck from the TV series, staring Lee Majors.
Looking good. Alway nice to see when a builder takes the time to add in the plug wires.

Fine work. Ilike the engine compartment and especially the battery paint.
