Re: Styrene Addict. Show us your latest kits here.
Been contemplating buying one of these for about three years but was always put off by the price. Well finally I scored one off ebay at a reasonable price, if £104.00 can be considered reasonable.
It's 1:12 scale and measures approx 350mm long when assembled. (14")

It's comprehensively detailed already but I'm sure I can alaways find more to add!! LOL

Re: Styrene Addict. Show us your latest kits here.
I'm really looking forward to it.
I have the truck, the Petty Charger and a diorama to complete by Dec 31st. Then I am returning to Mile End Garage until it's finished.
Then it's on to the Warspite, a 1:20 Tyrrell , a 1:12 Lotus 49b, a 1:12 Ferrari and the Mefistofele, and I suspect the latter will be the first of them. So maybe April 1st onwards??
Trivia: Mefistofeles apparentley translates to 'infernal noise'.

Holy OMG! Good luck! Try not to lose any of the zillion parts. Plenty of teensy screws as well.

Re: Styrene Addict. Show us your latest kits here.
Forgot to show you guys this. It's the caravan kit to go behind the Bedford race truck. Most of the jumbled pile is the interior fittings. The window frames and side stripes look too thick but I am sure I can sand them down.
All laser cut out of 2mm HDF.
I don't intend using the kit wooden wheels so I'll be on the lookout for some period looking styrene versions. I'll also need to make a hitch, make or find some gas bottles, windows, rear lights and some corner legs

Been going to Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupons and picked these up
been wanting to get one and see if it works better than a coat hanger
reissue of the Jawbreaker
71 Thunderbird
and went by the mark down shelf and found this for $9.00 which followed me home
Picked up this 69 Torino Funny Car body on e-bay
That's all for this week

Glad to see the "jawbreaker" kit back out. It is really the John Milner Dragster kit reboxed. All you need is declas fromn the Milner Dragster and you are good to go. I know it has a Hemi and the Milner car had a Small Block Chevy, But the kit as been that way since day one. LOL

Miles better IMO. Had one now for about eight years. Get's covered in paint but toss it in some brake fluid for a day, and it comes out a;most like new.
