"Will just have to do"? Heck it looks great to me. Gotta, love those old Boyd colors - they're real standouts.
Great job.
Great job.

That was my last can. They are very hard to find around here.

Re: '40 Ford Pick Up Gasser
I was told by the guys at Fantasy World that when Boyd died they quit making the paint. Butcher Bob was looking for some of the Green Pearl and that's what he was told at the check out stand. I was like eavesdropping. LOL

Bought the last can at Blitz in Lacey, before the closed down the branch. They might have some in Chehalis store.

That store is closed also. I was there for a funeral last November or December and when I stopped by they had a sign up saying they were out of business.

Quantities are going down and prices are going up. Soon, most of us won't be able to afford the hobby.

Engine angle still looks severe to me. Guess I'd better wait until it's finished before I fret about it.

It's looking great Bruce but I agree with Geezerman about the engine angle!

Guys, guys, just set it in the engine bay to see what it looked like. It isn't in place or even glued. Just received my Ardun and blower parts today and hope to build the engine, which will be in it. Meanwhile, found some wheel backs which fit the rims and glued them into place. Won't have enough time to have this one ready for the show.

Me too Bruce.
She looks great up on her wheels. Perfect stance too.

Re: '40 Ford Pick Up Gasser
You need to get that new engine in and tested for the first seasons races.
Only a couple of weeks to go to Easter.
Looking Good - How's it going ??

Totally fooled me. Didn't see aFlathead coming. I was thinking Hemi. Not a bad choice, I like it.

Surprise, surprise! Wanted to build a late 50s, early 60s Gasser, hence the flat head.
