'40 Ford Pick Up Gasser

Performance is having their Model Car Show in Feb., so am planning to build a Theme pick up truck for the Contest.
Plan to use an Old Monogram Lemon Crate kit for the build. It should be challenging, just to fit things together.

I don't know about this particular kit, but of the old Monogram kits I have built, they seem to have pretty good fit.

'Twas interesting to see a 40 PU listed in the race car section, so 'twill be interesting what becomes of it.

I am on board, can't wait to see what you have planned.

Primered the frame and put in the rear end and raised front suspension.


Sanded the tires with a # 11 deep socket and 150 grit sand paper, then test fit.

Decided to add a belt chrome line around the cab, to follow the hood line.

Thanks. Shot satin black on the firewall, then primer. Just put about 4 coats of Boyd's Smoothster Yellow on and she's in the dehydrator to gas out.
