Re: Big Rat A sedan
My first week of the new year's work. Trying to get the door back to almost like new. Semi - failure.... It's not almost like new! However, the top front corner juts out. That's like new !
'swhy I FUBARed it in the first place !!!
Meanwhile, under the dash, I have imagineered the Model A steer box into a worm gear shaft going out the side of the cowl.

Clay, you are being too hard on yourself old boy! The bit jutting out fits perfectly with a rat rod IMO.

I agree with Al on this one. Hard to tell how far it juts out but those Model A doors never did fit right even when they were new.

Re: Big Rat A sedan
Clay, maybe you could use a LITTLE heat and bend the corner back in place
Doing a great job on your rat rod, I like it

Clay, that's just a little set back cause I know you can fix it for the rat rod, have a couple cold ones and then see what happens in a couple of days cause it will be better

Re: Big Rat A sedan
NOPE !!
Like I said, John, wee wee on it !
I'm movin' on. Yesterday, just before Florida froze over, I cut out the roof. I'll get back on it when we thaw out !

Re: Big Rat A sedan
Update :
I have removed the roof , and so proceeded to add some interior bracing for visual effect. My many fans will realize that any resemblance to actual Model A bracing is purely accidental.

Very nice touch with the chicken wire roof! This is turning out to be a great "homemade" rat rod. Love it!!

That's exactly what it is, Skid.
