Tamiya Mazda MX5
You might remember this one from a few years ago which I abandoned due to laying the base coat of metallic purple, leaving it six days, then getting a bloom after the second clear gloss coat.
Well, since I'm stuck for the moment on the Chevy Cruze and the Porsche 917KH, it's back on the bench. This time I have sprayed it Candy Apple Red, over a medium base silver (Both Zero Paints) to approximate Mazda's Soul Red, just like the one I had a few years.
Still to be clear coated.

I love that color and think it would look awesome on an old street rod.

Re: Tamiya Mazda MX5
I masked up with cling film, which I have done successfully before...... not this time though. It seems the black gloss spray 'bonded' at least some of it to the body colour paint.
Result is what you see here.
I've had enough of it now and can't be bothered to strip it and start again. Back in the box.... PERMANENTLY!!!!
