Great little car Shay and a timeless design. You should enjoy it more.

Well, I used to always have company cars Gary so it was no real problem, can't afford to tax and insure two cars now. The insurance is cheap as it qulalifies for Classic insurance now (has to be 25 years old in Ireland) but the road tax is over €500 for a petrol 1.6 here. Ouch!

Re: mazda mx-5
I could buy a brand new 535d rocket ship and it would cost much less to tax, CO2 emissions crapology.
Well, I couldn't actually buy a brand new one but.. lol

Re: mazda mx-5
Literally everything remotely new is a diesel bloody Hatchback Gary, it's so boring.
Torque is good, but I prefer keeping the revs up in a rorty petrol engine.
I'm probably old skule now.

That was done only on fuel consumption Curt, but when Ducati start making diesel Bikes, I'll probably change over! lol

Re: mazda mx-5
Just something about a petrol engine in a sports car for me, exhaust note, smell, throttle response.

Re: mazda mx-5
Carbs are so much more responsive than some ECU telling the fuel injection what to do when you play tunes with the engine note too.
