Re: Mile End Garage.
Been noticing the weathering on the inside corner of the annex. Nice artistic touch!

Re: Mile End Garage.
Thanks both.
Question for you lot:
There are several places on the building representing 'broken away plaster'.
Do you think I should leave them in 'plaster colour' ? or do them as per the inside? Red brick.
I'm kinda thinking they should be plaster colour!! Perhaps a few shades darker to highlight?
What do you think?

Re: Mile End Garage.
I like the brick colours Al, gives a point of interest and contrast. Very subjective though so you must go with what you like. Tons of reference pics online to help you decide. I searched 'broken plaster exposed brick', and images abound.

Re: Mile End Garage.
Fantastic work Al. As for the plaster and brick, I like the look of exposed brick with stucco, with the brick toned down and remnants of plaster bits still on the brick.

Thanks for that Gary. You know I never thought about doing an image search!!! DOH!!!
Thanks Curt.
I think I'm going to go with attempting somethng like this on the exterior exposed brickwork:

Re: Mile End Garage.
Thanks guys.
Gary, this is the first time I have worked with Basswood and I have to say it is very easy to use and glues up SUPERBLY with CA.
Dennis has now made himself a new signboard:
The graphics were kindly created for and emailed to me by Ron (Dadooronron) who unfortunately no longer posts here.
This will be the last of the Basswood stuff for now. (Was that a loud sigh of relief I heard?...... LOL)

Re: Mile End Garage.
Thanks both your encouragement is much appreciated.
Moving on to some interior stuff now:
How on Earth I'm going to be able to work with these, I'm not sure!!! They are TINY.
Here we have two radios. The one on the left will be used as is, while the one on the right will have the knobs sanded off and will become an extension speaker:

Re: Mile End Garage.
Thats some really interesting stuff Al, Should work brilliantly as a small lathe as its 1/35. Perhaps bench mounted? (more woodwork lol) )

Re: Mile End Garage.
Ah, of course. My mistake Al, I forgot it was 1/35 scale overall, not 1/24. I really must pay more attention lol. Brilliant job on the lathe, which seems very well cast and detailed.

Get at it Al. This is going to look great.
Looks like that figure is saying, "talk to the hand" an old 90's thing.

Re: Mile End Garage.
Those Czech Master's Kits are really good. I just picked up one of their engines on closeout for $5.
It looks like the lathe could use a bit of a raised base - for poor Denis' aching back. Also, you know what those flood waters can do, Al.

You took awhile to get back on this Al, but the results are going to be outstanding! I particularly like the scratch built window.
