1950 Ford F-1
I started this a couple of weeks ago. As I was taking some photos of a mock-up tonight I realized that I never started a WIP, so here it is.
The paint is DupliColor Poppyseed Red, a Chrysler color, that has not been polished or waxed. The bed has been wood grained with paint using successive coats of raw umber, burnt umber and burnt sienna acrylics. Looking at the photo of the bed I see there is a flaw at the center of the bed that needs to be fixed. Yes, I did use the kit wheels. I hate to admit it, but I really like the appearance of the large wheels and the low profile tires on this truck.
More in a couple of days.

It's a nice kit John, I enjoyed building mine.
I like the colour of yours and you did a bang up job on the wood grain too.!! 001

Super Truck, I love that color on the truck.
Can you post a part Number for it so I can order a can of it?

Buck: I had a real senior moment. The paint is PlastiKote, not Duplicolor. The color is Chrysler Poppy Red BC, not Poppyseed. The PlastiKote number is 1019.

Awesome, Thanks for the quick reply, John. I can get Palstickote at Carquest.

Very clean work. I'm in absolute awe at your ability to do the wood grain bed. It's, it's . . . fabulous! Re:wheels/tires, I too am not a fan of the no sidewall look. That said, I think they work here because the wheels aren't an ugly "look at me" design AND because the tire size looks good with the radius of the fender openings.
I'm guessing the only engine it comes with is the flat head, with maybe a multi-carb option. Where are the multi engine kits these days?!
