ANOTHER WAY OF STRIPING CHROME: BY JOKER89189
I used to use DOT3 and CSC to strip the chrome but it usually takes a long time (hours) for it to start stripping it. I recently found another liquid that will strip chrome off chrome plated parts in a matter of minutes. The stuff is..........Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner. depending on the size of the part, you don't need to much of this stuff. Use a glass like a size of a shot glass and in a few minutes the part will be just plain molded color plastic. This stuff hasn't burned my hands or anything so I believe it'll be safe without gloves. Just thought I would share with you guys.
