Seaplane carrier Mizuho
The Mizuho was a Seaplane Carrier of the WW2 Japanese navy. It was diesel powered so no funnel and from what I have read it was underpowered. The Mizuho was sunk early in the war by an American submarine. It had two near sisters, the Chiyoda and the Chitose which were both converted into aircraft carriers. I have included a picture showing the Chitose and Mizuho together. The model is oob and the only extras were the seaplanes from a Pitroad equipment set. I used a combination of 'Petes' and 'Alfs' for the Mizuhos air group. The diorama is only temporary for the photo.

This is such a cool looking ship. I love it Chris, I really do.
Are you going to be adding 'stuff' to the dockside? Even now, it looks like a lot is going on.
Those planes must be tiny. How on eatrh do you get the camo and decals on?

I see but why temporray? with a few more bits added to the dock side, it would be a contest winner methinks.

Wonderful photos! All the display makes me envious, it's so real. The camoflaged seaplanes really are great work!
