1953 Hudson Hornet
Well she's done. Our should i say he's done. My grandson was here when the new Hudson kits arrived. When he saw the kits he said "Doc Hudson, Doc Hudson." He won't be 3 until May so I was impressed. The Cars movies are his favorite movies. Anyway to make the little guy something special I decided to build one of the kits in the fashion of Doc Hudson from the movies.
So it went like this Moebius Hudson kit, House of Kolor Candy Cobalt Blue over a HOK Gold Metallic base coat. It's cleared with Dulpi-color rattle can clear. The interior is done in 3 different shades of Gray using Craft Paint with a layer of Dull Coat over the top. Flock is called Medium Gray. I added spark plug wires and boots, fuel lines, vacuum line and opened the air cleaners up for some very fine brass screen.
I am glad I built the kit this way. Now I know what to expect on the next one. I think it will be a Pro-Street style Street Rod. I know I have never seen one so why not. Any thanks for looking in.

Looks great and I know he's sure proud to see that car whenever he visits Grandpa. Keep up the excellent work! This one turned out to be a knock out.

I took my kid to see that movie when he was little. That's a great looking Hornet, the only thing missing is Paul Newman's voice. Fabulous work Buck.

Talk about late to the party............ how on earth have I missed this one?????
You did a great job on 'him' Buck. The underhood details all lokk great and add a great deal to the finished model.

Very nice work and detailing Buck! The engine bay is top notch and the paint and BMF look sharp too. Sweet build!

I loved the film and love this build, it is stunning...
Is this an actual kit or is it one that you have made up, either way, great work Sir...
