'78 Monza S
I was going to make it streetable- but changed my mind. Still working on the floorpan. Pretty much OOTB, just added roll cage padding & belts from masking tape and
a tacho. Still going through the parts bin to find more decals.
Floor pan is on the bench, the engine will be the kit one, less the blower. Radiator from the parts bin, ditto the wheels & front tyres.

On its wheels.
On its wheels, while the front "suspension" cures. I've got the rear engine mount sorted, need to work on the front ones.
After that, all I need is the dump pipes, hoses, air intake & some other minor stuff.
Some more decals to come too. So expect to see a NMA over the easter break.
No news on the '37 in the background, its waiting for the bonnet paint to gas out before I polish it.
It should be finished soon too.

Re: '78 Monza S
It's a little past my favourite era but it's looking good. Nice work.

Lookin' good! I think the Monza picked up where the Vega pretty much left off. Keep up the great work! You'll have this one finished in no time.

John, you won't have to wait long. Should only be a week or so. I need the engine, but the body 98% there.

Looking good webby, but isn't that a Chevy Vega?

It had me wondering too, when I looked at it. Some googling revealed that the Monza S was a price leader (poverty pack) using the Vega hatchback body
And to use surplus Vega body shells too, I imagine. Only a few thousand were built.
Cheers,

Ah, that explains a lot.
I bought this kit back in the day and it was kitted as a Vega. Was a MPC kit called Twister Vega or something like that. Might still have the box, still got the car unbuilt somewhere. Might have to see if I can find it.

"Twister Vega" is indeed the kit.
