Another BIG SCALE Model T hot rod

More big scale shenanigans !
My first Monogram/Revell 8th scale Big T was bought via Ebay, and partly assembled - but having a fully plumbed and wired Chevy Corvette engine already built, this was going in the rod - but I needed a clutch housing and trans, so I made my own.

I put together a rolling chassis, and planned on a Black painted car, (‘any colour you like as long as it’s black’) .....with whitewall tyres.

The underside was detailed, and the sharp bend of the kit’s silencer to header assembly was altered to a flowing curve. Interior was treated to Oxblood Red ‘leather’, and the convertible hood got a chop.

Finally, being British, it keeps it’s hood on for the inclement UK weather, but when the sun shines.....it comes off. Job done.

Gorgeous Ron, what did you use for the leather look on the seats?

And what's the story with the air intake system, Fuel Injection?

The paint I used for the upholstery as a Tamiya colour, but can’t quite remember what it was actually called at the moment, sorry. 🥴
.....and yes it’s fuel injected - Rochester Ramjet FI with stubby air filter. I think only 750 Corvettes came with this system

Love the entire package. They don't even look like the same kit.
I think I have an old started one just like what you started with,  I got about six months ago.
I hope I have a set of rims like those in my parts bins.

It was the chrome wheels that really sold me on buying this kit.
The whitewall trims are actually Lindbergh ‘T’ items, from a Bobcat kit......and maybe the fuel tank.
Which is the next thread that I’m working on.
