Tamiya Brabham BT49b 1:12 scale.
This is another one that never got posted here.
Really nice kit from Tamiya which went together well with just a couple of minor problems.
I decided to change the Tamiya supplied out of scale HT leads and fuel lines to the injectors for something in scale. I also took the opportunity to include the plug boots and cylinder markers to the HT leads. All other details were scratched and added by myself.
The model represents the car of Carlos Reutemann at the German GP of 1975.
During the cars three year life it won only five races with Reutemann taking four of those wins. However, the team did take second place in the constructors championship of 1975, despite only winning two races.

The 1:12 Tamiyas are as good as it gets! Superior work on the detailing! I wish in my prime, I could do as well. Thanx for sharing. So little news on many of the model club sites these days. Like a lot of old guys, I yearn for days long gone! Once more, thanx!

Brilliant ! - although my race cars have to have doors - but I can really appreciate the work and extra effort that’s gone into this build to make it look so terrific.

Very good. I did a larger scale kit once. I went through paint at an alarming rate. Back to the smaller scale for me.
Is it heavy?

Thanks guys, I had a real blast adding all the extra details.
I think that's an impossible question for me to answer Ash, with over 250 models on my shelves. However I think my
Lotus 25 Climax. Jim Clark '63 F1 Championship Car is right up there:
