UK-Canada-USA trip
The bride and I are plotting a 2024 trip, and it would be great to meet some of you in person, over a beer or meal.
March-April-May-June 2024. Exact dates TBC.
We're in the London for a week, then 3-4 weeks exploring the south. Draw a line between London and Bath. South of that is our area.
Then Boston and New England for 10-14 days, cruise to Quebec, then drive Quebec-Ottawa- Toranto- Detroit- St Louis.
Anyone game for a meet up and a beer?

And if you're going to drive over to Dublin, go via Holyhead in North Wales and I'll meet you on your way...
Sounds like an awesome trip too, please , please remember to take lots and lots of photos...

When you hit the states, you have to see the Oregon coast. Absolutely spectacular....and that's just starting with me. You should see the coastline as well.

Indeed it is! We drove from Bremerton to San Francisco last trip in 2018. This time it's New England, then Detroit to St Louis.

It’s difficult to get the feel of the expanse of the USA, here in the UK.
I live close to the east coast of England, and I have often ridden my motorcycle to the west coast and been back in time for tea !

From discussing that same exact thing with a German. The state of Oregon is the same as, or larger than, a number of different countries over there. I can't quite wrap my head around that. I live seven miles from the ocean. To get to the eastern border of Oregon, it is 430 miles and a seven hour drive.

Try Australia on for size. Texas fits into my state of Queensland about twice, and we're not the bigest state.

430 miles is almost exactly the distance I would have to travel from my home to London - and back.
....and it’s 300 miles to Dublin, one way.
Oz.......it’s a blooming long way !
