Re: Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special
I had to move the Lotus body out of the way for another pressing project and I had placed the body on top of the chassis and it reminded me of an episode of "For The Love Of Cars" where the host, Philip Glenister interviewed a man who has a stockpile of Delorean parts and several unfinshed projects including a Delorean on a 4X4 chassis. Sort of like a monster truck-like vehicle.

Thanks Dublin Boy!
I applied the decals this morning and it took me a while to do it. Some of the color stripes came off which could be attributed to the age of the decals or the decals are that fragile. I'll see if I have any gold decals that I can use or I'll get a gold gel pen. Now to let this dry for a day or two before I add any clearcoat.

It's looking good Mike. Nice work on the decals. I hear they can be a real PITA

Oh, I fought with some of mine! Trying to keep them straight and in one piece. Most of them came out just fine, but I do have a couple of small breaks here and there. I working on a plan to repair those breaks...

Re: Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special
I figured a way to added to the broken pinstripes. I took a jar of Testors #1144 Gold in the 1/4 jar and my hobby knife and I dipped the blade into the gold paint and then I dragged it from stripe to stripe and I filled in the gap. Not back for a first time...

Clean and Crisp Build and your color choice really captures the era and looks great. Your engine inspired my to try one in my oft-stalled Vega build.

Great job. Hmm, I'm not looking forward to mine with regards to the decals. I'll have to respray the bodywork anyway as it didn't turn out as well as I expected.

Thanks Mr Hirakawa! The decals are not as bad as you think they are. Just work carefully to get them on straight. I lost a little bit of the artwork on the decals mostly due to my man-handling of them.

Looking good! That is a wonderful bright green colour, odd but eye catching.

Thank you Kats! I was trying to match a factory color with what I have in the paint drawers. This Candy Lime Green was close...in a certain light.
