Yeah, they do look a bit old but the 'gold' bit seems fine, it's just the transparent outline which looks so rough that it's going to get the chop and i'll handle it one tiny line at a time. Failing that, there's always paint and a steady hand.

I always thought this car had the outline of a utility vehicle.

Looks like a decent kit. I have one in my stash too. Good luck with the decals, if you have issues with the decals you can have the decals from mine. I'll paint the gold pinstrips if I ever build it.

Looks like a good kit. Sadly the body design and smaller-than-expected powerplant made it a challenge to market to the public. The Elan, so swoopy, when the Europa came along it looked very "non-Lotus."

Old Tamiya decals are a lottery, one set can break up, another set will work.

Be brave with the wet coat Dave, I love painting black cars, some of it will come off with the polishing anyway.
