i really enjoyed doing the M16 so going to have another go at an ex-Matchbox kit
i picked this up at a recent show for the ridiculous price of 50p! still sealed!
this was new tool back in 1974

Nice detail in the small scale. I like that they include a little scenic base.

that was the first thing i did.....had it looking great, lots of mottling on the pavement and bricks, did dry brushed highlightings on it too, dark wash, etc........all i had to do was a coat of matt varnish and add some mud pigment.......decided to take the easy route and used a rattle can of humbrol matt varnish rather than getting the airbrush out for 20 seconds worth of vallejo...............had a weird reaction and it all turned white!............so in the process of doing it all again, and its never as good the second time round

Nice progress on the tank. Sorry to hear about the base, but I'm sure it'll turn out awesome the second time round.

Re: JagdPanther, Revell, Braille scale
time for an update
ive been neglecting this for the last week but i have got some paint on it today
it looks a bit harsh but once i get a wash on it and some matt varnish it will tone down
also got the base done for the second time after it all went a bit pete tong the first time..........its not as good as the first time and thats annoyed me a bit cos it was looking really good and i messed it up at the last moment
next step a coat of clear then some wash all over

Both the tank and the base look great! Looking forward to seeing the camo after the washes and stuff.

Nice camo job, Paul. I think the rubble on the base needs a lot more 'dust' on the dark bits.

Looking awesome! Though I know it's going to make it look even better, it almost seems like you don't need to matte coat it - but that's my personal bias for 'oooh, shiny,' peeking out, lol.

Painted, with maybe some dry brushing weathering etc., it can look great. Nice work.

Re: JagdPanther, Revell, Braille scale
had a matt coat to dull it all down and added the tracks
you can tell that this kit hasnt aged well.......tracks arnt quite long enough or sit right on the road wheels.....still got a little gap after a bit of surgery..........going to have to hide it with a splodge of mud i think lol
ages ago i did the revell 1/72 jagdpanther, dragged it out cos i though it would be interesting to compare 1/72 to 1/76 ex-matchbox
1/72 on top, 1/76 below

Nice. Can't tell the difference in the two scales.

Re: JagdPanther, Revell, Braille scale
Nice job in Braile scale! For the tracks one trick I used in my 1/35 days was to use black tread to pull the upper track run down onto the road wheels.
