I had quite a bit of that Mocha Frost left. Testing my ghost flame method using Alclad on a couple colors, this looked best, so it was a no brainer to use it. Saved me having to mix something up for airbrushing. Base coat has had a couple of days to 'set', so, I'm about to plunge into it !

Well. ghosting was too good. Was only showing in a couple of places. I guess I was too timid with the Alclad. I'll clean up the tape residue and spray on a fresh coat of Mocha and give it another go.

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
Fighting a new camera, downloading to the computer, and the BS that keeps popping up on Photobucket, I have managed to get pics that I can post !!
My ghost flames didn't turn out very 'ghosty' this time. I think that about halfway between my first attemp and this would have been closer to what I had hoped, Anyway, It's under a coat of clear now,
and it is what it is !

Perfect Clay, they are ghost flames after all, I had to use masks when I did them on one of those.
Beautiful work.

Sorry. my new camera (Sony) adds something to the HTML that affects the way I load on Photobucket and I can't get the photos on here the way I have been doing.
I'll have to figure out something I guess !

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
Clay, have you tried saving the pics on your desktop and selecting them from there?

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
Going to look into that, Gaz, I have avoided that because it seems I heard that it is hard on the host site.Affecting the bandwidth or something like that.
Anyway the Merc is done getting ready for the NMA>
Thanks

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
Don't worry about bandwidth Clay, we have no restrictions.
I save to my computer and load from there without any problems. Much easier than using an offsite host too.

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
OK, I'm having a bit of trouble in the NMA post.
"Left click this text and then right click the highlighted text, choose copy on the drop down menu, then right click in your desired position in your reply / text box you're posting in .. choose paste and you should have this"
The dialog box covers the whole text box and there's no place to 'paste'. The cursor is no longer in the margin, and refuses to let me put it back

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
If I want text between the pics I put in the pic, type under it by pressing the preview button which allows me to put the cursor under the pick to type, then put in the next pic and repeat until post is done, rather than putting all the pics in and trying to type between them afterwards.
Merc is looking brilliant Clay.

The flames are fantastic! Perhaps not truly 'ghost' as you pointed out but they really work beautifully regardless.
