Revell chopped 49 Merc
Not planning to get wild on this one. Pretty straight forward assembly.
I did shave some old spinner hubcaps to match with the Merc stock fronts to get them so they don't look like they're a foot thick.
And, it'll have to go lower, so, I raised the spindle location.
Went old school cheat on lowering the rear .... heating the springs. (just cheated a little differently on the model.

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
Yeah, well here I go again. Was going for a simple kit assembly and assemble according to the instructions ( kinda). I assembled the engine and installed it in the frame. was supposed to lower the subfloor down over it, but it wouldn't clear the molded in protruding battery. I guess Revell didn't know who they were dealing with and that I have batteries in the salvage stash. So, I cut off their ##*$# battery !
Had to notch the tops of the inner wheel wells and forgo installing the upper control arms. but that's on me for fooling with the suspension.

Re: Revell chopped 49 Merc
The roller chassis is ready. Except for tweaking the suspension and replacing the battery with a 12 volt, this hs been a pretty straight forward kit assembly. So, now to start on the body. Nothing radical planned here either.

She's in primer, but I decided to permanently attach the scratched visor before painting.

Have a base coat of Duplicolor Mocha Frost. This seems to be just right for what I want to try. Ghost flames.
