Engine is so good I'm less thrilled with interior so far. The single color doesn't do it justice. Either light weathering or another color for floor mats, maybe something to make shifter and shift gate look more realistic (darker color in shift pattern and shift knob?). I wonder how detailed the dashboard looks compared to the old AMT and similar kits too. Good luck!

Looks good. The early Corvette kits have come a long way since the AMT days.

Rocking right along. I owned a couple of them Corvettes with the Metal shield on the plug wires. Man-O-Man, what a deal to replace them.

A coat of textured flat red on the 'carpet'. Gear knob should be white, from what I've found online.
Here's the dash too. Trimming the carrier film on the transfers was a PITA, especially the minor gauges.
A drop of PVA on them once dry.
One omission is a transfer for the silver section in front of the grab bar. Revell give you the "Corvette" transfer, but not the silver backing. Cutting the BMF in there took a few attempts.

Love the detailing and getting the BMF in behind that bar must have been a task. Looking forward to seeing more

The bar is a separate piece, I wouldn't have attempted it otherwise. Shoot it with white on Sunday.
Rookie mistake, I missed the seam above the Corvette lettering across the nose. Curse, sand it out and hopefully get it painted tomorrow. I might get it finished before I leave for the Bathurst race.

Interior now up to standard! I'm glad the company didn't cut corners on the kit. Looking good.

Re: Revell's 1962 Corvette
Not a criticism of you, but the underside of the model looks pretty plain. I, that is everybody, likes separate exhausts. It makes choices whether to use "stock" ones or remove them easier. However, the old kits had molded-in things like maybe emergency brake cables and brake and fuel lines. They added to the fuller, more realistic appearance. If a builder chose to remove those lines, because they weren't especially big, it wasn't as hard as cutting out the huge exhausts. Just my take on model company choices. Interiors are more important than undercarriages, so their care in molding detail is more important there. Your work on the interior really pays off!
