1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
I have finished this build nicely before Christmas.
The hardest parts of this long build were I think the headlight surrounds and the brake ducts. The headlights had a decal but after applying it, it looked rubbish so I took the lens off, painted it freehand with matt black and then very carefully went around it with the Molotow.
Many thanks to all who helped me out on this build to get it as neat as possible and I wish you all a happy holidays.

Best Protar/Revell 250 GTO I have ever seen Dave. Fabulous really.
Ancient kit, far from easy. I traded my one out! lol
Where did you get the number plate from?

Thanks Shay. It came with the kit and had a decal for it but I preferred to paint it by hand then border it with the Molotow.

The tyres look good, are they out of the box?

Absolutely beautiful work. Im particularly struck by the finish on the steering wheel. What did you use to get that effect?

Thank you for that.
Steering wheel process was to paint it a couple of coats of pure white for brightness followed by a couple of coats of a yellow/brown mix as a base then I applied a very watered down chocolate kind of brown then a slightly less watered down brown then a final dark brown into the deeper areas where the spokes met the wheel. When dry, a little rub with the finger sort of brought out the under base a little through the brown giving a nice wood effect. The last task was to paint it with gloss clear.
