Large Scale Build
With the coming of spring and nice weather I have been working in the yard and on my Nova.
I haven't been doing much model building.
I did get the completely street worthy and registered. I drove it to work a couple of weeks ago but now I am currently working on repainting and cleaning up the dash and instrument cluster. I cleaned up and lubricated the wiper system too.
I am going to remove the under dash tach and install a small tach in the spot where the clock would have been in the instrument cluster.
I plan to take it to the track in a couple of weeks to see what it will do.

Re: Large Scale Build
I have really been "off the grid" model wise. I haven't posted much of anything. But I thought I would give a go at posting some pictures of what I have been doing.
When I have more time I will check on and post on you all's topics as well.
First of all I took the Nova out to the local race track with some very good friends and made a few passes .

Re: Large Scale Build
Thanks for the interest mates.
I took the hood (bonnet) off and the hinges and prepped and painted the inner fenders (wings) to match the updated body color and also got the bumper filler panel painted silver and cleared.
The weather has been rainy or very humid the last couple of days so I have just been doing a lot of sanding but it is slow going.
In the evening when I am done for day I look like an Oompa Loompa with all the orange dust on me.

Re: Large Scale Build
Thanks
Buck
Kats
and Curt
Here is an update Shay.
I have the drivers door jamb done, I finished the trunk opening this weekend and sprayed the side mirrors, the cowl vent section and the rear side window trim pieces.
I turned the car around in the garage so I can do the passenger door jamb. Then its one more full coat of primer and block sanding before I paint the whole car.

Rockin', I love the Space Alien look. I think it will catch on. The color on the car is very nice.
