Ferrari 275 GTB/4
My favourite road going Ferrari bar none!!
This one doesn't need any masking!!!
The front pan and rear panel are separate pieces so some sanding and filling is going to be required.
Of course I want to do it in 'Daytona Yellow', so the red plastic brings up the ugly problem of 'bleed through' However, I'm sure a coat of silver should provide an effective barrier.

So, this kit any good? Is the engine, suspension and interior nice and detailed?

I'm almost certain it's an Italeri re-boxing of the original Revell version dating back to 1979 and yes, it's pretty nicely detailed all round with little flash etc.

Re: Ferrari 275 GTB/4
My only experience with a 275 kit was the wonderful ancient (like me) Aurora one. It had opening everything and sliding side windows. I wish that line of sports cars could be reissued. The Ferrari was the best, with a Maserati and Aston Martin less well detailed. Maybe there was a Porsche there too. Good luck with this one, yellow, meh.

Re: Ferrari 275 GTB/4
I'm not altogether happy with the engine, as getting the top water hose pipes and the air filter in AFTER installing the HT leads, proved difficult and was handled WAY too much!!. Needs a few touch ups here and there. Oh well!!
A couple of decals on the oil filters would help a great deal but none were included in the kit. I will almost certainly have some in the decal stash but alas, they are all packed away in the container. There are a couple left over from the De Havilland Vampire that might look passable, so I may consider those.

Hi Al,
This is looking sweet and I really, really love the yellow too, I've always thought it's the best colour for Fiats...
