MFH Ferrari 156
My birthday present just arrived. It's the 1961 Ferrari 156 that won the Italian GP and the World Driving Championship for Phil Hill. I'll start of with a few pics that are my inspiration.
I unpacked the kit and looked over all of the parts.

Thanks guys
I really like the fact that MFH now puts a parts layout up on their website. It makes sorting through and identifying all of the parts very easy. After getting everything laid out, I bagged up the metal parts by each step.

Shay, look at my first post. The white metal parts come in several bags. But none of them are labeled. It is up to the builder to sort them out into their respective steps. MFH just started putting the parts layout pictures on their website two years ago. It helps a lot in identifying parts. I had to fumble through the parts when I built the BRM.
I got the resin pieces of the block together then added the white metal.
The instructions call for the chassis to be assembled in three different stages. But after seeing that most of the parts would need some tweaking, I decided to get them all together for a trial fit.

Re: MFH Ferrari 156
After struggling for 3 days with drill bits I got from Micro-Mark and only getting about 30 of the 288 holes drilled. I went down to my local tool supply and bought a higher quality #78 bit. 3 hours later and all of the holes in the wheel hubs are drilled. Now my wheel building experience can begin.
Spokes and nipples.
The start of the lacing. I'm still experimenting with how I'm going to go about placing the 72 spokes per wheel.
