Ferrari 250 GTO
If I had to pick the sexiest car in the world, this one would be very close to the top of the list.
I did this build for another forum where the subject was 'Imports'.
First order of business is to get the body work cleaned-up and primed.

poof can........LOL never heard that one before. But yes, it was a rattle can.
I have a rolling chassis now !
And a chance to see it mocked-up.

You can say that again, Bruce.
I got the interior done, so now I have a rolling chassis.

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO
Since the chassis is done, I've turned my full attention to the body. Front end detail.
After I got done with the BMF, I noticed some glue residue from the foil. I sprayed a little of this stuff on a micro-fibre cloth and buffed it out. It worked great!!

Where did you get that stuff, Paul? I think a quick rub down before a show with it would be the deal. 250 is looking great.

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO
That's nearly the same as an old Ferrari 275 from the Aurora company. I like the Aurora as it had opening doors, hood, trunk and sliding side windows. Chassis detail was great too and engine was very close in quality to yours. Great work and bmf makes a world of difference from the old days of silver paint! Thanx for a thoroughbred!

I'm not sure where I found it Buck. But it's meant for plastic body panels (or visors) like those found on motorcycles. So a check at the local m/c store might work for you.
AARGH!!!
One of the tiny lenses for the rear has decided to fling itself into the darkest recesses of my hobby room. I was holding it with tweezers and trying to file the sprue burr off of it when it escaped. Not wanting to spend the rest of my life trying to find it, I filed a clear piece of sprue to approximate shape. Fortunately it's only a rectangular piece so I should be able to duplicate it well enough to fool most people.
That's it's twin on the left

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO
I hate it when that happens. Where does that stuff go? It seems to leave the tweezers at Mach 15. Nice work.

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO
I know that frustrating feeling. Buck, are you sure it is only Mach 15??? I would have thought faster. I am sure there are lots of parts buried in the back recesses of my work bench.
The 250 is looking great in the proper Ferrari Red!!

When I first saw the picture I though you'd cut yourself and was showing us the blood...
When parts ping from me, they always start in slow motion and then speed up to faster than light so I can't see when they go...
