this time from the drag racing world ............. again no detailing at all ............. all built from the AMT Double Dragster kit with tires and wheels from the Revell Tony Nancy kits

Job well done. There are so many variations that can be built from that Double Dragster Kit. One of my all time favorite kits.

Ditto! One of the great all time kits. They are from the earlier era, so can be built stock, rebuilt to an earlier "budget minded" style or updated to later versions with other parts.
Aw heck, I can't pick a favorite!! Thanx for making me smile!

Neat, clean, period correct. And WONDERFUL! Only weakness to me are the headers, which I feel look too plain. Colors are nice too. Seeing the double 8 dragster makes me wish there were some kits of straight 6 drag models. There are plenty of 6 engines, but things like fitting and transmission conversion make for extra work. Anyway, great work!

I may have seen yours or a similar one a while back, and the numerous ones above from the AMT kit triggered the memory. There are quite a few fotos of the real "double sixes" on the web. Most are short wheelbase from early to mid '60s. Thanx for your Dark Dozen Dragster.

The GMC powered version of the Allred & Clarke D/D dates from the early '70's and was definitely a long chassis car .......... in 1973 or 1974, if I remember correctly, Roger and Marvin were offered factory sponsorship (spelled $$$$$) from AMC and they switched to AMC engines ............ see below

It's long enuf for at least four more engines! Now that's a rail! Thanks. BTW, I was trolling other rare model sites and came across some of your builds. Thanx for that too, many people may only go to one or two sites and miss a ton of great models.
