Chevrolet Bison
Well, after......WAY to many years, I'm calling it done. My first big rig build from start to finish !!! This was a HUGE learning curve, and thanks to all who persevered along with me. I do hope to get some out door shots as well.
I have learned that when the instructions say to glue the lower radiator hose to the engine BEFORE gluing said engine in place, it means BEFORE. I also came to the conclusion that all the chrome pieces needed stripped, cleaned up/and or filled, then Alcladed. I also learned that I should have replaced my dried out putty BEFORE getting back into this build, but what the hey, it was a first time truck as well as a slump buster. I also see that I need to work on all the fiddly bits that have to line up, like the steps, steps, more steps, and the mirrors. I honestly do not know why my hood hinges raised the level of the hood up. So, even with all its imperfections, I am pleased with the outcome...and VERY pleased just to finish it.
Here are the late night , impromptu photo booth, FINISHED pics !!

Re: Chevrolet Bison
That's a nice looking truck, I like the chunky, "squared off" look of the cab, I'd be ecstatic if I got a truck looking like that as a first build.
Don't forget to delete it from your signature, it's finished!!

Nice work Sam. I think the Truck is a beauty. You would never believe it's your first. I guess Modelin' is Modelin' no matter the subject.

The finished product look great Sam.
Believe me, getting hood to fit properly is also difficult on the 1:1 trucks. I can attest to that after designing many a hood in my career!

Nice one, Sam. I'll have to 'unstall' the GMC Astro.

That's a great looking rig Sam. Well done indeed.
Might have to do one myself at some point!!

Hi Sam,
She looks great Sir, I really like that trailer too, you'll have to build a load for it now...

Great looking rig Sam! I know that was a long time in the making. The first thing I usually do on a kit is dump the chrome tree in the pond, to me it looks more natural to have Alclad. Clean and nicely detailed. Pretty satisfying to get it done.

Wow !! i didn't realise you'd added some more photies......
I agree with Andy ... you need a load for it, that would really show it off

Re: Chevrolet Bison
Thanks again everyone.
Of the four different kits that I have, that would work for a "load", I have decided on the John Deere Back Hoe. Not sure when I will get it built though. lol

Re: Chevrolet Bison
Looks exceptional for a "first build!" Now you need a cabinet to show it off and keep the dust off! That is one nice rig, for sure, thanx.

Hi Sam,
May I ask for a favour please Sir, is there any chance you could take a couple of photos of the underside of the trailer please, I'd like to try and have a go at scratch building one, I'll be altering an old box trailer...
Many thanks...

Very, very nice...but a working truck needs a load, and an excavator would be ideal.
