Re: Salvage rod #3
I'm finally making some positive progress to fitting the top.
Built up the back of the cockpit and found a different seat to bash.
A little more fiddling with the top fit at the rear, and then I'll be able to build a windshield frame and lay out the side windows.

A lot of work Clay but it will all be worth in the end.

Re: Salvage rod #3
Bashing this top and fitting it to the body has been one among the most challenging things I have attempted. Trying to piece together a windshield frame hasn't rewarded me with any satisfactory results either. So I'm now attempting to carve one out of a single piece of flat plastic (floorboard of a woody).

Looking good Clay. I really like the look of the top and am glad you are plugging away at it.

Re: Salvage rod #3
Moving on. I have a roller now. I don't like those rear tires, but they're all I have that fits the rims., Tires are hollow and have flimsy sidewalls. Really hard to mount on the rims.
Had a hangup in the paint shop. Tried to get cute and paint scallops on the track nose. Didn't turn out so well, so I'm reverting to a solid color.
Busy doing dink stuff, making windshield mounts, tail light, etc.
