'57 Salvage bash-up
Well, here it is for better and worse,
I really liked how this pie-cut sectioned body and the Camero front end married together.
However, having to use homemade vacuum formed glass and 3 horrible attempts to get a decent paint job has rendered this, on close inspection, to be dangerously close to being termed a 'gluebomb'.
My only hope of salvation was that it would photograph decently.
Quite disappointed, I am.

I think it has photographed really well Clay, don't beat yourself up, they can't all be 'show winners'
The work and effort that has gone into that build must have honed your not inconsiderable skills even further and that alone gives it merit. That said you are no doubt seeing flaws that others won't notice because you have given it so much attention.
Build on!!

Very creative mating of the parts, Clay. And photographed at Geezer's Garage, it looks cool. Like it just stepped out of the movie "Death Race 2017".

I like the Camaro nose on that 57. That split bumper Camaro is one of my favorites anyway. Great job combining the two.

I think it turned out nice Clay. I just wish I'd seen your WIP thread sooner. I have a front glass I could have sent you.

Thanks, Dan. That might even have been 'iffy' also. This body was quite a bit shorter than the other '57 so I guess they were of the two different scales that are so close, 1/24 & 11/25.
One of my original plans when I started this was to pose both of the 57s together nose to nose to show the difference in the pie cut, but I forgot to even take a side profile shot of this one. Not too anxious to get a closeup shot.

Agreed Clay, not your shining hour but then we all get builds like that from time to time.
Still looks cool sitting in Geezers yard though.
Onwards and upwards bonnie lad.

Wonderful result from the mad scientists lab! Certainly not a glue-bomb, the look and stance are just great.
