1932 Ford Phaeton hardtop..
This was started in 2010,well the second incarnation was 2010 but the kit was actually started in 2009.

As it arrived off the boat (well plane LOL)
One thing that I did was to french in a pair of Ferrari rear lights.
The standard chassis was /is being used.
The engine,it is the later kit engine with one of my own cast blowers and solder headers, plus it is wired.
The wheels have been changed and are of a modular design,I have found some wheel backs to complete them and the tyres are sorted to.
The body has been re primed as there are a few tiny blemishes in the finish and I want to sort them, the C pillars need a going over too as I am not happy with the profile.

Al,you know how it goes either something more interesting comes along. But in this case I had a snag in fitting the glass, you ever ried gettting glass for a 32 Ford with a beetle roof LOL
Cheers Clay,it in an interesting conversion and it fell by the wayside...
The wheel backs have been sorted and painted now.
Got it to a rolling chassis stage, the blower hat was repainted and the tyres were sanded to represent used items.Might sand the rears further to reprsent ner bald items - thoughts?
The std 32 grille was stripped of its chrome and the badge and starting handle 'bump' sanded down,it has now been painted and cleared - wonder what colour the car will be?LOL

I agree with Shay, taller and wider rear tires.

I am behind the times, but when I see elephant tires or Band-Aid tires, I shake my head. They are at the extreme ends of the spectrum. I like something that doesn't call attention to itself and distracts from the vehicle. Of course, when I liked "motorcycle" wheels on the fronts of rods, the old guys shook their heads at me. So, who am I to complain?!

Nigel: This is more like what we have come to expect from you. Personally, I like the tires and wheels. But then I'm a dinosaur when it comes to that. Got to say though I don't like the profile at the center post; don't like the way the roof drops down. It's your build though, so if you like it that way then keep it that way.

I agree about the rear tyres, you need to change them Nige. Those ones look too much like a semi-off road tyre.

Body and body paint are very good! They do make the engine seem dull though. I'm thinking maybe some variation in all the silvery/chrome with lighter or darker shades and/or a thin wash of dark paint along the recesses. And that's all. Thanx for a truly unique body design.
