34 Ford phaeton.
Starting a big kit..
The chassis.
The body and tub.
With fenders,which will be used.
Parts primed - I decanted a rattle can and i goes so much further....I do have a colour in mind..
With a bottle of alclad for scale.
May well use the soft top - we call that a hood!

Love the big kits. Are you planning to do this more or less OOB or is this yet another subject for Radical Arnification?

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
Cheers Gaz,about to spray the chassis rear portion, the i.r.s was not mounted securely enough and fixed a couple of braces into the chassis.

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
Sprayed a few bits, headers - stainless steel, water pump alloy and the rad header tank in brass.
Got the chassis done, the slushbox is alloy and the wheels/discs are together.
It's a Chevy 350 engine btw with Coddington wheels.
Just a mockup of the shell.....

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
I just picked this kit up at a show in may. I definitely like it better full fendered vs. the high boy box art.

Cheers gents.
Got her painted today,it is Humbrol crimson 20 and the interior is Humbrol flat grey 64.
Way back when I stayed away from this colour when brushing kits but spraying it is a different matter!

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
Nice color! Bright color would make it look larger and more of a "tub." Medium dark red is super and super smooth. Wheel pattern is a good choice too, sort of open like the old wire wheels!
