Olds F-85 Wagon
The old Johan kit. Built in the late 80s, rebuilt in 2000. Now on its 3rd incarnation. As you see the BMF has been attacked, possum urine will do that!
Was going to be a simple BMF replacement, now a full rebuild. Dr Oldsmobiles little wagon is getting new rims & tyres, some engine dress up parts
some basic engine detail. Hoses, plug leads, etc.

Re: Olds F-85 Wagon
funny things happen when you store models for a period of time. I once had vermin eat off a whole set of carb scoops I had carved out of elbow macaroni.

Clay, you're up early. I make it 6.15 there. Cool idea for carby scoops.

Re: Olds F-85 Wagon
You wouldn't have a two door ( not a wagon ) version of that car would you ?????
Been looking for a 62 Cutlass for a long time, to build a replica ( of a 62 I once owned )..

No, Tom. I've seen some reissues of the Johans, but no Cutlass.

Re: Olds F-85 Wagon
Carb O'Hydrate ISN'T an Irish bottled water company? As for the Cutlass, I think the wagon was about all Jo-Han released. However, there may be a few promos (promotional) models from the era around collectors may have. Usually without engines and sometimes with generic interiors, they at least are something close. Also, and more hopeful, may be resin cast ones from the numerous casters. Anybody know of a list of them? Sometimes new, unusual and unique creations may be around we haven't ever seen. Thanx, luv the wagons!

No change here. Been busy repainting the deck, replacing some timber, etc.
Still waiting for my disc brake conversion for the Buick to arrive, so I'll soon be doing more 1:1 car work than scale.

Re: Olds F-85 Wagon
It's a rare kit Chris, and worth preserving - looking well.
I remember having an F85 two door sedan, moulded in blue, that I never finished.
I wonder what happened to it?

Re: Olds F-85 Wagon
I'll probably go for a metalic blue or silver. I need a 'forgiving' colour to hide some minor nicks, so
metalic is the go methinks.

Clean work, but I don't recognize those older wheels. They were cool!
