CHEETAH the Sherman tank

Tanks are not my 'forte' but a special request came along. I was given a WW2 Sherman tank, built, but not painted and some details missing. CHEETAH is a Sherman tank that resides in Sidney BC outside the ANAVETS hall. It is also a monument and I wanted to replicate it.
I wanted to place the tank in the parking lot setting like it is and also wanted to have a civilian vehicle for relevant scale. Enter 'Kubelwagen' to become a 1/35 scale import car built by VW in the 70's called the 'Thing'.
Conversion meant different tires, spare tire cover, bucket seats, signal lights, fog lamps, rear bumper and a veterans license plates.
Indoors the dio resides with other WW2 vehicles and dios.

I love it, that was really different. I saw your Rock band and now this one, you have some very interesting ideas.

Your dios are a museum in themselves. Great work. Very few VW Things sold in the U.S.
