1976 Dart Sport
Started two years ago as the AMT Smokey Convoy Chaser kit, one of many iterations of the same mold. Swapped the Hemi for an unknown origin "B" block with a six pack. Purple metal flake nail polish paint job with a black out hood.
Added some front suspension detail - torsion bars and control arms, also some bumper mounts and a front air dam.
No plumbing or wiring other than a radiator hose from black electrical wire. The engine is missing the valve covers, they may still be in the parts box.
Still more details to work out, mirrors, wing?, exhaust, period speed parts, etc.

ahh...same body as my old Duster.
...I think I can smell that nail polish 'paint' from here.
Looking Good.

That's some bodacious metalflake in that paint. Nice job with it.

There does seem to be a fair bit of flake in that paint, I like it.... Top job

Hi Dan,
I love the paint job, did you airbrush it on or use a normal hairy brush...

Re: 1976 Dart Sport
Andy, the paint is nail polish, thinned with lacquer thinner and sprayed with a cheep airbrush. The flake in the color was too big to go through my good airbrush. I also put on a couple of coats of automotive clear coat from a rattle can to smooth the flake and add shine.
