Race car transport
This little Dodge has been sitting on the shelf for several years waiting for a job. I think I have a job for it now. Transport for the Mopar drag cars I have been working on.
The Mercury sleeper looks like a good place to start.
We'll see where this goes.

Re: Race car transport
Some progress. The frame stretch was done some 25 yrs ago with plastruct and super glue. I tried to modify it but it was not happening so I worked with what I had. I found a forum that had 80 pages of old racecar transporters that I browsed for ideas. This on will be getting tool boxes along the sides under the ramps.

Re: Race car transport
That's looking great Dan. The cab looks a lot like The Little red Wagon.

Re: Race car transport
Dodge used the same style on the 2 ton medium duty cabover as it did on the 1/2 ton mini pickups in the 60s. This is like Ford and Chevy did with the F and C series trucks. An F-250 3/4 ton in the 60s and 70s had a similar but not identical cab to the F-600 2 ton. Chevy did the same with C10 - C60 trucks. The Dodges were not nearly as common as the others.

Truck did a nose dive off the bench :( It may take quite some time to get it back.

Nooooo, I was looking forward to seeing some more progress photos of it, so sorry...
Hope it's not beyond repair though...
