I have the Tamiya weathering master D pack, which blue, gold and oil colours, they look like the makeup stuff women use on their eyes, but I've not really done much with it as I can't get it to look real...
Thank you...
Andy...
I’ve got one of those too but different colours to yours. I can’t make it look good either, there must be a trick or we expect too much from it.

Those brake lines look ace and the detailing of the exhaust and cat are really good.
Heat stains are something else and I’d like to have a go at, could you at some point in the future make some kind of tutorial?
The chrome lines on the air filter etc, are they silver tape, Molotov or some other means?
And finally, the gold base seems to add like a warm texture to the colour (if that can be a thing) I can kinda see how the base coat affects the shade and appearance of the top coat.
Looking forward to the end result.

Very nice indeed,
Cable around the suspension strut and ruby little metal clamps, looks so real

Excellent detailing - it looks good in the photo, but must look even better in ‘real life’.
Seeing built models at shows really makes you appreciate the detail that photography just can’t capture.
It’s a pity there aren’t enough shows out there - and when there are shows they seem to be dominated by military and aircraft subjects. 🥴

Ah, you see, if you make any errors of mistakes with paint when doing military stuff you can just make in into damage or dirt. As a car maker I can afford no such luxury. Also seeing it in 'real life' just draws attention to all the flaws.

Picking up where I left off. I thought to give the interior a bit of a colour lift. I also pinpoint detailed the dashboard. I used to be able to do this with the naked eye but I need a lens to get it done these days.
I've completed the glassworks and smoked some of them to match the alloys.
I've gone over the bodywork with a finishing compound. It's really brought the colour out.
Nearly done.
