A stellar effort Mike. I've always found that polishing black tends to dull the lustre of the paint a bit so I need to make sure it gets down perfect on the first attempt. I do have better polish compounds now so maybe I'll give it a try again soon.

I honestly never had a problem with black paint, get a nice couple of smooth and shiney coats on it and polish out with a gentle scratch remover compound.

It's finally starting to look like a car. So far this kit assembles together pretty easily too.

Great stuff Mice. It is a nice change when you build a Tamiya. That's why I went for the Mazda next leaving the Fujimi EM for later. Also, I'm jealous of your black.

Thanks Dave. That black paint is just Testors enamel. It is airbrushed but sometimes I have sprayed it right out of the can on small parts that were next getting sprayed with AlClad Chrome and it came out quite surprising smooth from the can.

You guys are way too good at this painting thing.. too marks
