Battery refitted, I took it out so I could get the clamp in while holding the front grille in place, top radiator hose and air cleaner fitted, so far the parts fit on this build has been faultless.

Superb work Geoff, simply brilliant

Front bumper fitted, rapid setting epoxy along the top and a few drops of UV resin at the sides held everything in place.

A few decals applied in the engine bay

Please tell me the bonnet will be hinged to display that.

Sadly Gaz,while the bonnet does have hinges, there non functional.

Some time ago on MCM forum, someone asked me why I hadn't fixed the end caps on the rear quarter panel to the body before painting, well mainly for two reasons, one, the body had to flex over the interior and chassis, as it turned out, quite a lot,and I could see these parts popping off, secondly, looking at the 1:1 (See photo #2) there is a definite body line between the two, meaning that they were fixed to the body after painting at the factory, if I'd have fixed them to the body before paint, that line could well have disappeared.

Rear trim fitted, Hopefully I'll get this one finished over the weekend, just two exhaust tips,two door mirrors, and two door mirrors to fit, plus the decals to apply.

Shame to hide that stunning work

I was hoping to get this one finished over the weekend, I did find time to fit the door handles, and today I've started on the decals, I still haven't decided which accent stripes to fit yet, white or black, and as they were a $29.50 option, I'm leaving them off until I decide which colour to go with, or if I'm going to use them at all.

Just the two mirror heads to fit,and this one will be going into the display cabinet

A few things drive me crazy on models, wonky wheels and mirrors that are not in line, I'm always making jigs to hold parts in place while the glue dries up, here I'm using slow setting epoxy, as it was the only strong glue I had that dries crystal clear.

That's quite good Geoff, but you really need some of that Bob Smith superglue.

Slow and steady wins the race, besides I've never been a fan of super blues, must prefer 2 part epoxy, gives me plenty of time to get things all lined up before it sets up.

I must admit I haven't opened my bottle yet, but Angelo loves it.
