Been there, tried that and stalled out Ron. (Three times) When I finish this one, I will have another try at a scratch built version.

All of the interior is finished apart from the floor.

Looking at the photos I see a number of areas for improvement but I'll get to them over the weekend.

Thanks guys,

LOL at Gary.

Some small touch ins this morning and a couple of coats of Testors Dullcote to dull the woodwork and I'm calling the interior finished.

Hi Al,

As said WOW, this is stunning Sir, I think on the second photo, if you took these outside you'd certainly think it was the inside of a real building, are you going to add some cob webs Mile End Garage. - Page 6 Scared etc...

Thanks Andy.

Cobwebs is it?

Sure thing, where can I buy a 'cobweb' aerosol???  Mile End Garage. - Page 6 1792231099

Seriously though, if anyone has suggestions as to how to do cobwebs, I'd be pleased if you would post them here.

Hi Al,

The person you should ask for cob webs is Colin (Snake), he keeps the eight legged creatures...Mile End Garage. - Page 6 Scared

I saw a diorama with Frankenstein, The Wolfman and the Mummy in it. The cobwebs were done using cotton balls and combing or brushing them out.

mmmm...rethink.
Scratch-building that structure would take quite a bit longer,
particularly the brickwork. Well Done Al!

That side doesn't look too bad with the ridge tiles on Al. Are extra scratched roof tiles needed?

I was wonderin' if any one at Miniart ever tried putting one of these together. But looking back at the box art, something must have been right at one time.

Thanks guys.

Surprisingly, fitting the ridge tile section wasn't all that bad. A bit if filing, cutting and held in place while the MEK was drying and it was job done. Not perfect but should look OK with a little more work and weathering.

It's an old building so it shouldn't be to perfect. I like it.

Roof looks 100% better. As you say weathering will now sort it.
Great job Al.

Some filling around the ridge tiles:

Here we go with the exterior weathering. Primed then pre-shaded with black:

Looking really good Al, you're really making a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Just noticed Andy offered you some of our Tarantula webbing, well the offers there (strange as it might sound)

Nope..... Serious..... I've had tarantulas and reptiles since I was 7, topped out at around 4500 spiders at one stage, now just have 100 or so as we have the snakes to maintain.
Selling them in the past brought in some extra income, now just keep as a hobby (although we do have some colour variant royal pythons for sale)

So... If you want some genuine spider silk, I can rob some from one of our arboreal species and you can unravel it and use as necessary.
