Fokker DRI Tri-plane
Well, it's finished.
I guess considering the molds are now some 52 years old, it's not really too bad a kit.
It does have some fit issues, sink marks and flash etc, but not really too bad.
The biggest problem was the undercarriage. The locating points simply aren't good enough. It broke away about six times. Finaly, I drilled four 2.35mm holes in the fuselage and insereted the struts into these. Not kosher methinks but at least it's strong now.
In the end I didn't bother with the rigging but may do so when I get some craft wire as beowulf suggested.
The best feature of the kit are the decals. Beautifully flat finished, well rendered, strong and easy to work with.
It's my first plane since I was thirteen years old and that is 48 years ago!!!!!
It was frustrating at times but I have learned several valuable lessons about building planes along the way.

Good work on an oldie. Britain also had a triplane, though they are now forgotten. Last one I built decades ago had the then acceptable "thread" wires and was brush painted. Times and standards change!
