1910 Studebaker Electric - Minicraft 1/32
I thought this would be a quickie build, so no WIP here. The thing that took the most time was the pinstriping. I got some 1/64th" Champ railroad striping online. Obviously old stuff, it needed a coat of Testors decal bonder to make it better.
Anyway the Minicraft version used a more improved plastic than the original acetate based stuff that warped like crazy and was difficult to glue. The original molds were obviously used, since the underside reads Gowland & Gowland 1952.
Homemade windows made from blister packaging.
Still, a unique little piece to join the crowd on the shelves.
Thanks for looking,
Mike

Nice.

Excellent build! It's so small both in scale and real life, very neat and (dare I say) cute.

Sometimes,to build something rare, going to a small scale (and a lesser quality brand) is necessary. You did well.

Thanks, everyone. Glad I tried those Champ pinstripe decals. Up til now, I tried to paint them on which did not end up well. I recommend them to everyone looking for striping. One pack will probably do a few models.

Yes, I used to buy the narrowest model RR striping tape. The earliest vehicles are woefully few in model form. Again, thanks!
