Where's Clay?
Anyone have word?
I haven't seen him around here for a bit. He's usually on here all the time.

Re: Where's Clay?
It's been a while since I've seen any posts from Clay but I think he mentioned real world stuff going on the last few times he posted. Plus, I can't remember if he lives in an affected area but Hurricane Florence might be a factor - though I sincerely hope he's not being affected.

Re: Where's Clay?
The weather would explain the last few days, although I haven't seen anything further from him since he posted up his tree fort. Hope he's ok.

He's not near Florence, that one hit me. I hope he gets found soon...

You're all good then?
Clay's a fixture around here, but we haven't seen him posting on here for quite some time. I sure hope he's ok.

Re: Where's Clay?
He hasn't visited (logged in) to the site since 31st of July which is also the date of his last post.
I hate to have to say it but he is 83 and I fear the worst.

Re: Where's Clay?
HEY ! He's still kicking !!!
I have tried to get on the forum from my bookmarked link since two days after Skid said he was off to Utah !
I was getting 'domain expired' notices ever since !
I was surprised to get an e-mail from Plastic freak saying I had a private message from him here. I followed the link from my Email and here am I back. I copied the address and loaded it into the bar on my server and it got me back in.
I have reloaded it in my bookmarks.
Thank y'all for thinking of me. I was fretting that the forum had been left neglected and that I would miss the conclusion of the Steanpunk Harley. I was really digging that build.
Now to catch up.
Cheers,
Clay 'Geezerman'

Re: Where's Clay?
Hey man Clay, I'm so glad you are back here. You had us all worried and I really did fear the worst.
I have sent out a newsletter to all members about this and asked for anyone having problems to contact me via the enclosed email addy.
One way or another, we'll get to the bottom of it.
Now lets see what you have been doing in the last couple of months!!!!

Re: Where's Clay?
Thanks, Skid.
My previous bookmark still brings the expired domain, so I'll delete that and use the new one.
However, like you said, I'm 83, and probably won't be contributing much in the build part. I struggled with the Gilmore station. My workmanship, never really good at best, has suffered badly and I was embarrassed to finally give it to Larry, but I guess the uniqueness over rode the shabbiness and it was well received.
I have developed macular degeneration in my right eye, and the left one is starting to show some. My depth perception is completely shot. I have trouble picking out a particular tool from the bench at the end of my arm. So, I think my modeling days are over, I have however, been able to renew my drivers license. Tee Hee, another older than dirt driver on Florida roads.
So my pity party is over now!
I'm glad to have the forum back even as a spectator. Thanks all for yer thoughts. Altho I am relatively hale and hearty now, I will probably die soon. No escaping that.
Thanks to all concerned.

Re: Where's Clay?
Great to see you back and relieved that nothing bad was happening
I did the same thing when it happened in July and forgot about it.

Good to hear from you Clay.
I'm fine from Florence, though it hit everyplace around me. Things still are not back to normal in these parts.
