Ta-da! Ready for the cabinet. Once I do the badges & door locks with ye olde chrome pen.  I you want a stock Vega, this is a good starting point.
Paint is Tamiya French Blue & Deck Tan. I've added a few touches to the interior, otherwise it's OTB.
I may chase a parts bin door mirror too.

Thanks gents. I'm quite happy with it. I've never seen the 1:1 but in a coincidence, there's the Cosworth version up for a local auction. There can't be many Vegas in Aus, there are a very few Monzas running around.

I like this a lot Chris and you did a great job on it. Colour choice suits it well. 1972 Chevrolet Vega 1705482731

A great conversion, Chris.

There aren't many Vegas left over here either. They rusted, fallen apart, or turned into drag cars.

Very nice build sir, quite impressive. It's really cool to see a basic Vega, not a top of the line model.

Vegas and Chevettes had a bad reputation as Detroit tried to battle the imports on a tight budget. One or both had engine troubles and a host of minor bugs.
Great work! I did one (MPC) back in the day as a drag racer, opening up the rear hatch as well. Thanx for the treat of a rare one in plastic or on the road!
