1908 Voison Farman - Entex 1/72
Another old WIP completed. This started out some time ago as a documented WIP, but something else came up and it was set aside.
It's an old Entex model that is available individually or as a 3 plane set of Early Birds. It looked interesting because the skin is provided separately as a tissue paper that must be applied. Kinda like the old rubber band powered Balsawood models I built as a kid.
There are a few configurations of this plane with and without the vertical covered surfaces in the forward wings. This is a 1908 version.

I've never seen a styrene kit with tissue covered wing Mike. Did you have to dope them?
A pusher to boot as well.
You did a first rate job Mike as usual.

Thanks, Al. All three of the planes in the series have the tissue covered parts. I used Testor's Cement for Clear Plastic. It's a water based glue that dries clear. The surfaces were painted with acrylic paint, lightly sanded smooth and coated again.

Wow, excellent build! I love these examples from the beginnings of flight development - reminds me of a motorized box kite (which is basically what a lot of early planes were).
