"Not so factory ..." is simply beautiful, the feeling of a much driven steel beast. Truly exceptional.

Re: 1965 Ford Mustang AMT 1/16 Scale
Thanks men. I've got the engine bay done. I cobbled the 'Ford Motor Company' from bits of decals and steady brushing.
I made the starter relay and the horns and hood catch from scrap bits. The various decals were pinched from Als special decal tin.
I think It's looking ok, not too clean and not too dirty.

You're doing a lovely job on an old kit that's far from modern standards, mind you I love the old stuff.

The only flaw I can see is............none! A quality build all the way.

Re: 1965 Ford Mustang AMT 1/16 Scale
Thank you all. It is appreciated.
Some progress. I've scratch built quarter panel windows and a foot step and detailed the door cards.
I've sorted the headlights.
The back lights.
Coming along nicely. Though I find that the kits windscreen border is too close to the side trim. I would have expected a thicker bar in between with some body colour to show.

Your great work on a somewhat mediocre kit continues to amaze me. Awesome looking footsteps.
I'm surprised that the kit came with quad tailights - I built it decades ago and don't remember those.

I don't think it did. I think maybe that was his own added touch!
That was something quite a few Mustang owners did later on mostly on their pre-owned Mustangs!
A local dealer actually did it to some used Mustangs on their lot sever years all the way up to 1970 while others opted to order replacement Shelby Mustang taillights and install them on their Mustangs.

"An extra set of rear lights was included as an option so I thought why not."
Cool! That wasn't in the first release of that kit which is the one I had!

Re: 1965 Ford Mustang AMT 1/16 Scale
Very nice..and some people wonder why I want to try out some large scale stuff...? Its a great opportunity to see just how much added detail i can put into one...sounds fun to me.
